At the
age of five I asked my mother if artists made any money. She replied, “No, so if you want to become one, eat now”.
Forty-five years later I am the veteran of many solo shows and group
exhibitions. And I am sufficiently nourished, both body and soul.
My home is Vancouver, British Columbia. I paint what
I find in unexpected moments as I go about my everyday life and suddenly
glance up and see something both beautiful and intriguing. I'm captured
by a city that quietly reveals something inspiring somewhere in between
its lush gardens, urban landscape, and diverse architecture. My perspective
is intimate and conducive to contemplation. |
